The New Brunswick Health Council (NBHC) is a provincial organization with a dual mandate of publicly reporting on the performance of the health system and engaging citizens in the improvement of health service quality.

We are looking for a productive and dependable Project Coordinator to join our team. In this position, you will oversee the successful execution of survey projects, contributing to the production of data that help understand and improve the quality of health services in New Brunswick.

 

Context

The NBHC manages two types of surveys: health care experience surveys which focus on citizens' experiences with health services, and student wellness surveys which focus on children and youth. Combined, our surveys reach approximately 100,000 New Brunswickers. They represent a rich source of standardized indicators and measures that inform on health service quality and population health in the province.

 

Key responsibilities

Under the authority of the Executive Director, Planning and Operations, you will:

  • Coordinate all survey activities, including project setup, planning, execution, timelines, and progress reporting
  • Be the liaison with the research firms that conduct the surveys and with the various stakeholders in the project: regional health authorities, hospitals, Medavie Health Services New Brunswick, school districts and other government bodies
  • Oversee data collection, while working closely with the NBHC research team to ensure methodologies and standards are respected
  • Lead drafting of RFPs, Memorandum Of Agreement (MOA) and Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU)
  • Manage the process of RFP appraisals and selection of vendors
  • Respond to calls and requests for information about the surveys
  • Assist in the process of designing questionnaires and associated materials 
     

Required skills:

  • Superior time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English and French
  • Microsoft Office, MS project or other project management tools and platforms
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical software (SPSS or SAS) considered an asset


Qualifications:

  • University degree in business administration, project management or social sciences - or equivalent education and experience.
  • Certification in project management (e.g. PMP, CAPM) or survey project management (e.g. CIRPA, CMRA) considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating or managing projects similar in nature to the work described
  • Experience in survey design and analysis considered an asset
