This indicator measures the number of cataract surgeries completed during the reported 3-month period. Data is based on place of service (where the surgery is performed) and is reported quarterly.

Notes
For the reporting periods Apr-Jun 2023, Jul-Sep 2023 and part of Oct-Dec 2023, the Surgical Access Registry did not receive complete data for Zone 7, due to the implementation of private clinics doing public Cataract Procedures. Data on cataract surgery should therefore be interpreted with caution for these three reporting periods.
