Calculations

This indicator is calculated by dividing the number of respondents who answered "yes to at least 5 chronic health conditions asked in the questionnaire" by the number of respondents who answered "yes or no, to at least 1 of the options" to the question: Has a doctor or any other health professional ever diagnosed you with or treated you for any of the following chronic health conditions? Please select all that apply: arthritis, asthma, emphysema or COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), chronic pain, cancer, diabetes, depression, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure or hypertension, a mood disorder other than depression, such as bipolar disorder, mania, manic depression or dysthymia, gastric reflux (or GERD), alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia, anxiety or high cholesterol.
