About

This indicator is the percentage of citizens receiving home care services from home support workers who reported that an infomal caregiver helped them at least once a week with their home care in the last 2 months.

Source

New Brunswick Health Council, Home Care Survey

Calculations

This indicator is calculated by assigning a value of 1 to respondents who reported receiving home care assistance at least once a week in the past two months and a value of 0 to those who did not. Specifically, respondents are classified as 1 (received frequent assistance) if they selected at least one of the following response options: Every day, A few times a week or Once a week. Respondents are classified as 0 (did not receive frequent assistance) if they did not select any of these options. If responses to all three options are missing, the indicator is also classified as missing.
