Dr. Ann Collins is a family physician in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She graduated from Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Medicine in 1985 and has been serving patients in Fredericton for over 35 years. Her practice included office, hospital, emergency room and nursing home care as well as teaching Family Medicine residents for over twenty years. She continues clinical work as a part time hospitalist. Dr. Collins brings expertise in governance, public policy, and leadership, as well as extensive experience in the health care sector.
Dr. Collins contributes actively to her community. She was a member of the Board of Directors for the New Brunswick Medical Society from 1999 to 2010, serving as NBMS President (2002-2003), Chair of the Board of Directors from 2005 to 2010. She was a member of the Canadian Medical Association Board of Directors from 2013 to 2022, serving as President in 2020-2021. She has also served as Chair of the Board of Governors of St. Thomas University and is currently an executive member of the Chalmers Foundation.
