Dr. Édouard Hendriks is the Vice President, Medical, Academic and Research Affairs for Horizon Health Network since 2008. From 1997 he worked with Regional Health Authority 4, as the Vice President for Medical Affairs and from 2001 until 2008 as the President and CEO. Dr. Hendriks has a clinical background in emergency medicine and practised in various emergency rooms for over 25 years.
In addition to these roles, Dr. Hendriks was a Surveyor for Accreditation Canada for over 20 years, a member of the EXTRA Advisory Council of the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement, has been a Board member of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI), the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technology in Health (CADTH), and is Chair of the NB Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Advisory Committee, member and past-Chair of the NB Trauma Advisory Committee, Vice Chair of the New Brunswick Health Research Foundation.
