In 2022, there were nearly 700,000 2SLGBTQ+ persons with disabilities aged 15 years and older. Almost two-thirds of persons with disabilities who reported being a 2SLGBTQ+ person were aged 15 to 34 years, compared with 17% of their non-2SLGBTQ+ counterparts. Other findings include:
- Around seven in 10 2SLGBTQ+ persons with disabilities have a mental health-related disability; and
- The most common barriers to accessibility faced by 2SLGBTQ+ persons with disabilities are related to communication.
