The agency is offering interpretation services in 23 Indigenous languages. This is available to all patients receiving care from AHS healthcare teams. The addition of Indigenous languages to AHS’ translation service builds off more than 240 languages already offered for interpretation through Health Link 811 and at AHS sites. The availability of interpreters may vary based on the rarity of the language, as well as call volumes and the time of day. Translation of written patient-related records or educational materials is also available.
