AHS partners with tribal council in development of Indigenous health clinic

Athabasca Tribal Council (ATC) and Alberta Health Services (AHS) entered a MoU to design and implement an Indigenous Health Clinic at a regional health centre in Fort McMurray to improve on access to quality healthcare for Indigenous people. The project will take five years to finish and the clinic will be designed after consultation with community members. AHS, the Northern Lights Health Foundation and the ATC expect to engage community members to find out what the best use of the clinic space would be.
