B.C. health authority offering digital program to guide expectant moms through pregnancy

Expectant mothers in the Interior Health region of B.C. will have access to the SmartMom program. Prenatal education and support can be delivered to the patients' cellphones via text messages, with the prompts tailored for individual circumstances and pregnancy stages. The manager of the program says only one-third of expectant mothers attend prenatal classes, so the program is designed to close that knowledge gap.
