The Council’s looking for people with lived or living experience with pregnancy and/or childbirth, directly or in a caregiver/support role for a pregnant mother or a newborn baby to develop of a maternity quality standard. It also plans to create a provincially agreed statement on the care patients should be offered during pregnancy and birth. Healthcare partners will work with participants to formulate solutions and incorporate their advice and recommendations into the decisions. Committee members will include maternity leaders, administrative and clinical support, patient partners and researchers throughout B.C., including rural, regional and urban perspectives.
