With $566,000 in funding from Alberta’s provincial government, the Calgary Counselling Centre will expand mental health services in Calgary and surrounding rural communities, including Indigenous communities, specifically for children and families. The funding will assist over 1,00 new clients. The centre will test the use of secure virtual technology to connect people outside of Calgary with counsellors and mental health treatment and to help connect clients with a family doctor for ongoing care.
