Located in the same building as the private Southern Alberta Institute of Urology, the Prostate Cancer Centre opened in Calgary to provide PSA testing and other screenings for the disease. The centre's executive director says a mobile screening vehicle, dubbed Man Van, screened over 40,000 Albertan men over the past decade and found that 60% had at least one risk associated with prostate cancer. This is why the centre created a space specifically dedicated for male patients after they're referred by a family doctor for reproductive or prostate-related issues.
