Vitalite Health Network was forced to reduce its ICU beds from six to four for a period of time at the Campbellton Regional Hospital as a result of a nursing shortage. There will be an additional bed available in case of overflow and the health authority says it’ll announce the return to normal as soon as possible. The province and both health authorities are grappling with a sustained healthcare worker shortage.
