The Government of Canada is investing $4 million to support 10 companies led by diverse innovators in Atlantic Canada, including three health I.T. and medical devices firms. Among them, MIMOSA Diagnostics received $500,000 to expand its team and commercialize in the U.S. market. MIMOSA  developed a handheld imaging device that can detect skin injuries before they are visible, which could significantly improve patient care by reducing the risk of wounds, infections and amputations.
