The Ontario Government claims the expansion of its Rapid Access Clinics across the province will provide better care access for residents suffering from hip, knee or lower back pain. The establishment of the clinics follows a pilot program in which treatment and specialized care is delivered to patients, often within four weeks of being referred by a family physician. The provincial government is investing more than $37 million, including $17 million this fiscal year, to expand the program.
