The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) and the Arthritis Alliance of Canada (AAC) launched the Osteoarthritis Tool with the goal of giving providers information and tools to diagnose and facilitate the management of patients living with osteoarthritis (OA). CFPC and AAC worked with physicians, physiotherapists, pharmacists and OA experts to develop the Osteoarthritis Tool for primary care. The tool aims to help clinicians identify symptoms and provide evidence-based, non-pharmacological and pharmacological management while identifying triggers for investigations or referrals. It also offers providers a standardized approach to identify symptoms and recommend therapies to help relieve pain and improve physical functioning.
