It’s being considered the first app of its kind in the U.K., as it’s the first to combine waiting time information with travel times. The app was trialed regionally and now England’s National Health Services (NHS) officials want WaitLess to be rolled out nationwide at a time when most of its hospitals are failing to meet ER wait time targets. The app gives patients news of queues at nearby hospitals, as well as live traffic reports for their area. The idea for the app came up after health officials were informed of a similar app in Valencia, Spain.
