In the next 20 years, 90% of all jobs in England’s NHS are expected to require some element of digital skills. The review's being conducted by Health Education England as part of its digital readiness education program. Its chief nursing information officer will gather evidence from the nursing and midwifery workforce and across wider professions within the NHS. With the increasing role played by digital and technology, the findings will inform the NHS’ future digital strategy and ensure nurses and midwives get the training required for safe and effective digitally-enabled health services.
