The project aims to improve prevention and treatment of strokes, increase patients' quality of life after strokes and reduce their socioeconomic impact. The computer models and treatment recommendations will be based on the needs of the individual patient rather than being limited to acute stroke treatment. They’ll also be used to address other phases of treatment, such as prevention, rehabilitation and support for reintegration into social and work life. Another aim of the project is the development of EUROPE-Stroke, an open research platform to support the data aggregation and analysis to promote open science by disseminating research results.
