The funding for CHEO’s National Newcomer Navigation Network (N4) aims to help internationally educated healthcare professionals fill positions in Ont.'s healthcare sector. Other objectives for the project include:
- Identifying barriers faced by internationally educated healthcare professionals in having their foreign credentials recognized in Canada;
- Providing policy recommendations to address gaps in the sector;
- Assisting internationally educated healthcare professionals access credential and qualification requirements faster; and
- Removing barriers to working in Canada's healthcare system.
