B.C. is eyeing the expansion of a novel program in Canada for patients living with mild to moderate overdose-related brain injuries. The program, which allows people living with brain injury and their support persons to develop an understanding of their needs limitations and links them to rehabilitation supports, is available to people living in the Vancouver Coastal Health region. The province hopes an additional $1.2 million in funding will allow the program to expand to other healthcare facilities in the province.
