A typical Canadian family of four will pay $12,057 for healthcare in 2017, an increase of nearly 70% over the last 20 years, according to a study from the Fraser Institute. It also suggests healthcare insurance premiums for the average family will rise 2.7% between 2016 and 2017 to $8,514. At the same time, average cash household incomes increased 2.3% to $85,055.
