Health Canada says stakeholders can offer their input into the federal government's law legalizing cannabis on July 1, 2018. As part of the consultation process, Ottawa released its proposed approach to regulating cannabis to serve as a framework for the discussion. Included in the scope for the consultation are regulations surrounding access to cannabis for medical purposes and health products containing cannabis. Submissions will be accepted by Health Canada until Jan. 20, 2018.
