Health Quality Council of Alberta finds staffing at LTCs are number one concern of families

A family experience survey from the Health Quality Council of Alberta shows a range of overall satisfaction scores for LTC facilities in the province of between 6.6 and 9.7, with an average of 8.4. Wide variance was also seen on the food quality measure, with approval ratings ranging from 47% to 88%. Staffing is one of the biggest issues, the HQCA, states, with only 18% of family members saying there were always enough nurses or aides. The data will go to the provincial government and all the facilities will then receive an individual report.
