Infoway and digital health provider OntarioMD aim to reduce redundancies in privacy and security requirements for EMR vendors for their respective organizations by aligning their certifications. Eighty percent of Ontario's primary care physicians use EMRs that are OntarioMD compliant. Infoway says the two bodies will recognize the assessments of each other on requirements deemed equal or equivalent. The analysis and mapping exercise is underway and will conclude in early 2018.
