Infoway’s report provides a picture of attitudes toward digital health services. It shows more people want access these services and points to a gap between this desire and their ability to access services online. The report shows 73% don’t have access to their health information online and would like this access. The main digital services respondents want access to: renew prescriptions, view their health information, book appointments with their family doctor, and confirm specialist referrals and receive confirmations of specialist appointments, all online and from the device of their choice. Virtual visits is another digital service that interests Canadians. Forty-one per cent say they would like to access this service, while only 6% can do so currently.
