Physicians, surgeons, clinical assistants and physician assistants are all regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Under a draft regulation, the provincial government is proposing to allow each medical discipline to establish their own scopes of practice, as well as spelling out what are termed "reserved acts:" those duties that are unique to each profession. The Manitoba government will accept public comment on the draft regulation until Apr. 3.
