Man. pharmacies piloting system to track medication dispensing errors

Twenty Manitoba pharmacies are participating in a year-long pilot program to anonymously track dispensing errors. The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba describes the effort as the first phase in a plan to implement a province-wide system. Currently, errors are the responsibility of individual pharmacies to correct but the college contends a system encompassing all of Manitoba will encourage the spread of best practices in drug dispensing.
