Mansa Agbaku, a second-year medical student at Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick, suggests that increasing residency program options in various disciplines within the province could aid in retaining more doctors. Currently, residency opportunities are available in internal medicine, family medicine, integrated family and emergency medicine and psychiatry across Saint John, Moncton, Fredericton, Greater Moncton and Miramichi. Agbaku, who is committed to practicing medicine in her hometown of Saint John, emphasizes the importance of having more disciplines available for post-medical school studies in N.B.
