A survey conducted for virtual care provider Medisys finds 71% of employer group benefit plan members says they'd be willing trade off other benefits if it meant access to healthcare professionals through an online or digital portal. The survey suggests that support for virtual care is strongest among:

  • Patients with chronic health conditions (70%);
  • Parents and caregivers (69%); and
  • Millennials (67%).

Medisys says two-thirds of respondents indicate the biggest benefits of virtual care are access outside of normal working hours, convenience and avoiding long wait times in ERs and clinics for minor health complaints.
