Allergies in both children and adults have risen over the last several years and much of the rise in allergies and asthma can be directly linked to climate change, says the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment. Research shows that over the last few decades in North America, the average pollen season extended about three weeks and that plants release about 20% more pollen than they used to.
