The Patient Connect list consisting of those waiting to be matched with a primary care provider stands at about 74,000 people - an increase of over 30,000 in a matter of months. Between Apr. 1 and June 30, nine family physicians were hired. In that same timeframe, ten left their practices. Work began to move people to N.B. Health Link, the program being used to move those on the wait list to a network of family physicians and NPs.
