N.B. judge rules naturopaths can’t advertise themselves as 'medically trained'

A judge issued an injunction preventing naturopathic doctors in the province from saying they’re qualified to practise medicine in the province. Although naturopaths are professionally regulated in other Canadian provinces, they remain unregulated in New Brunswick. In ordering the injunction, the judge concluded some naturopaths in the province are promoting themselves in a misleading manner and using the tagline "Medically Trained. Naturally Focused" - a slogan used by the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors as part of a national awareness campaign. The injunction specifically prohibits naturopathic doctors from saying they’re medically trained.
