N.B. reports reduction in waits for long-term counselling since introduction of one-at-a-time therapy

The province introduced one-at-a-time therapy to regional health authority mental health and addictions centres in Oct. 2021. Horizon Health Network says that in Saint John, over a four-month period, the waiting list went from 464 people waiting down to zero and it’s seeing progress in our other zones. The health department reports there’s has been a reduction to waits across the province since one-at-a-time therapy was introduced but it expects it'll take about one year to show the service's full impact on wait times.
