According to Ken McGeorge, a retired career healthcare CEO, policymakers in N.B. have the challenge of figuring out how to use the wealth of information created by the New Brunswick Health Council to translate it into actionable data. The data might suggest that a system of health centres feeding into a limited number of regional centres is the most efficient way to deliver great healthcare. McGoeorge adds there’s a need to understand what’s involved in the application of the data and whether the healthcare system leaders are prepared to support the actions indicated by the data.
