NHS offers self-referral for tests, appointments

Hundreds of thousands more British people a month will have to option to refer themselves for services such as assistance with incontinence, podiatry or hearing tests without needing to see their family doctor. Across the country, around 200,000 people a month already self-refer themselves for treatment for podiatry, audiology and physiotherapy but local services will now be able to expand the option of self-referral to other services based on the needs of their population.
