There are currently 57 collaborative family practice teams in Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Health Authority expects the model will help with the doctor shortage in the province. The government hopes to have about 70 teams established by the end of its current term in communities across the province. Community sessions will take place across the province in the coming months.
