N.S. to introduce electronic system to complete ongoing health assessments of LTC patients

Nova Scotia will implement the interRAI system, an electronic tool that enables assessments of long-term care residents. With the technology, staff will identify health issues, develop care plans and monitor residents' health in real time. interRAI will also collect data specific to residents and facilities to better manage quality. That data will also be shared with the Canadian Institute for Health Information.
