N.S. piloting youth health centres at high schools

Beginning in the new year, the Nova Scotia government is placing newly-designed youth health centres in four of the province's high schools to see if an integrated care model improves access to medical services. The province's health and wellness minister says youth require support for mental health, addictions, physical health and sexual health, as well as programs that promote wellness. The pilot project will determine best practices and will inform a coordinated, consistent approach to youth health.
