The federal and provincial governments signed a bilateral health deal that will see Nova Scotia get $286-million over 10 years for healthcare for youth, those who need home care or community care, and mental-health and addiction initiatives. The agreement was initially reached in December 2016. The funding includes $5 million over four years to help people with acquired brain injuries, including the expansion of a program that helps children with brain injuries transition out of hospital, and improving access to continuing care programs for brain injury survivors.
