The Nova Scotia Health Innovation Hub is a space for people in healthcare to collaborate on providing better healthcare. The space allows partnerships with healthcare staff, researchers, industry innovators and government to address the challenges that exist in N.S.’ healthcare system. The hub is focused on improving and developing technology, accelerating clinical trials and tackling waitlists by expanding virtual care. The provincial government believes the hub will also bring in healthcare providers and aid with retention. Fifteen percent of Nova Scotians are waiting for a family doctor or NP.
