An online course (login req.) developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health addresses the stigmatization of people with mental health and addiction problems by healthcare providers. The partners say understanding stigma will also provide front-line clinicians with tools and strategies that challenge stereotypes and discrimination associated with treating patients with mental illness or addiction and lead to better outcomes.
