Ont. hospital implementing Meds to Beds prescription drug program

Meds to Beds, which provides patients with their prescription medications before discharge, is underway at Grand River Hospital and its satellite campuses in Kitchener. The program lessens the chance that a patient will leave the hospital without their medication or with the wrong medication, as a patient’s medication can often changed throughout treatment. Both those scenarios can increase the likelihood of re-admission. Grand River Hospital says it's not aware of any similar programs in Canada.
