Postpartum Village is an online center offering services for new parents and their infants staffed by caregivers specializing in postpartum care, including breastfeeding, newborn care and mental health. It’s described as a one stop shop for new families who can’t access a primary care provider. Programs and clinics include:
- A Breastfeeding Clinic staffed by lactation consultants;
- A Family and Baby Clinic offering postpartum wellness checks for parents and babies, jaundice follow-up, weight check, feeding support and telephone advice;
- A Perinatal Social Work Care program to manage stressful life events and transitions during pregnancy and postpartum; and
- The Women’s Wellness Services, that offers postpartum CBT group sessions.
The services also include an Obstetrical Postpartum Clinic for higher risk parents who need obstetrician follow up. For babies who may be at higher risk and require a paediatrician follow up, there’s also a Paediatric Ambulatory Clinic.
