A group of Ottawa Hospitals are offering access to health records on smart phones. They formed the Champlain Association of Meditech Partners (CHAMP) partnership, which is focused on connected care and uses the MEDITECH Expanse health information system. The feature's part of the Health app, which also shows activity, heart rate, nutrition and other health data consolidated from a person’s iPhone, Apple Watch and HealthKit-enabled third-party apps. The app allows patients to download and see a central view of their allergies, conditions, immunizations, lab results, medications, procedures and vital signs. It also notifies patients when their data is updated. For now, iPhone users are the only ones who can access the feature.
