This curriculum was developed and taught by a mental health expert and will be incorporated in schools in P.E.I. over the next year. Thirty Island teachers will be able to detect mental health issues in the classroom after the master training in mental health literacy and in how to deliver this mental health curriculum. The curriculum was shown to improve mental health related outcomes for students and for their teachers. An online support program is also available for teachers to increase their own mental health literacy and learn more about how to apply the web-based, modular mental health curriculum resource in Grades seven through 10.
