The wait for child and adolescent mental health services can be anywhere from a month to more than a year in Man. depending on what's needed and where families are referred. A Man. psychiatric nurse started a clinic of her own and promises to see clients and complete assessments within two weeks. The clinic, which charges $150 an hour and sees patients between 12 and 25 years old, has seven registered psychiatric nurses who have hospital experience. It aims to help people whose symptoms are too severe to be managed only by a visit to a family doctor but not so urgent they need to go to a crisis centre.
