Vital Care Pharmacy offers mental health supports help not available at a standard pharmacy. The pharmacy’s owner believes there’s a growing need for psychiatric pharmacists because of "an unmet" need she found in mental healthcare. The business offers the same services as a regular pharmacy but offers additional support and services specifically for those with mental illness. It helps people navigate through the mental health system, administers injections normally only available at hospitals or clinics and provides private consultations for people with mental health concerns. The pharmacy’s owner is one of two psychiatric pharmacists in Saskatchewan.
