The redeveloped clinic offers an advanced plastic surgery procedure room, which is the first of its kind in Canada. This procedure room will allow 85% of plastic surgery trauma patients, who would’ve previously needed one of the centre's main operating rooms, to be treated at the plastic surgery clinic. Many patients will also go home the same day. It’s estimated this room will free up 49 operative days per year in the hospital’s general operating rooms.
